Not much knitting is happening over spring break. Just check out the previous post. 🙂 My knitting has been limited to what I was able to complete last weekend on the drive to and from a training/planning/retreat weekend and a bit while there on DS’s second sock. Here’s a glimpse of the scenery:
Since we have been back home, my knitting has been limited to a round or two while waiting for DD to get off work. I am almost to the heel of the second sock. Tonight I am going to knit a bit on my sock yarn scarf for a break.
Big plans were made for sewing pajamas and cutting out a lap quilt or two to work on in the rare free moment. Unfortunately, nothing on either score has happened. Too much doggie and kitty and such stuff. Still lots of other things have been accomplished including DD taking her written test for her driving permit and passing it the first time. Tomorrow morning, DH will take her out to begin learning. She insisted on getting her permit before even considering getting behind the wheel to learn anything. This was probably good. We have started setting up driving lessons with a lady locally who comes highly recommended. Now to come up with the $300 she wants to cover 6 hours of driving lessons. Thankfully, DD is covering part of that from her job which gives her ownership in the whole process. It also helps her to budget for expenses and plan. DD has finally indicated that she is ready to work hard and obtain her driver’s license. Being cautious, I have real hopes that she will be a great driver.
