This is a short post and unfortunately, the pictures are not the greatest. Indoor lighting just isn’t good tonight and we were too busy to take pictures in the cold sunshine today. These were finished just in time for really cold weather.
This is the last item I was able to get out of this skein. There were two pairs of men’s socks before this pair of fingerless gloves.
Yarn: Fisherman’s Wool from JoAnn Fabrics, unfortunately I cannot remember the brand name but a very nice worsted 100% wool.
Needles: Size 4 (I think) bamboo circulars
Pattern: Arden Fingerless Gloves (Ravelry pattern)
I personally would make these shorter, but DS LOVES them. They go all the way to his elbow!
Hopefully these will keep him warm when he checks on his chickens tomorrow. Tonight we are supposed to get down to 14° and have a high of 27° tomorrow. Tomorrow night’s low may get down to 8°. We are supposed to have approximately one week of really cold temperatures. Good time to knit more Christmas gifts. DS’s cousin’s fingerless mitts are almost finished to go with her lady bug tam and a Honey Cowl is partway done for someone else. Must get busy again as December is fast disappearing!
