Christmas cooking and sewing

Thanks to a cold that started the day we replaced the bathroom floor, not a whole lot of specialty cooking took place for Christmas. However, I did make stolen which was given as gifts and the one loaf we kept, I served for breakfast on Christmas. DS said he’s not so fond of it, however.

The weather was cloudy so my pictures aren’t the greatest. Unfortunately, not too many Christmas gifts were handmade this year, and only two outfits were sewn for my niece’s American Girl doll–to be given to her on her birthday.

It is tradition that I try and make at least a couple of outfits for either her Barbies or her American Girl doll to be given on her birthday. The snowflakes on the blue dress were sparkly even though you can’t see it so well in the picture. Still, she was delighted when she opened these. The jumper and top almost match her own school uniform which made her extra happy.
