Closer to an FO

A couple of trips on the road and some additional work at home in between other projects has finally allowed me to complete the Globetrotter Shawl ready for blocking, weaving in ends, and adding fringe. Those steps will most likely happen next week as this week has started filling up with obligations and requests starting tomorrow. Here are the latest pictures as of just a few minutes ago: 20161025_204522

Unfortunately, the red still is not photographing as rich as it actually looks. Also the Merlot Heather (dark brown) isn’t showing up properly either. Still, this has turned out to be a really nice stitch. I am hoping that it will look even better when blocked and a short fringe added. Here is a close up: 20161025_204619_burst01

You can see the stitches closer here. The Merlot Heather is primarily the “puff stitch” and was the row that was the hardest. It really adds to the finished piece, though.

Hopefully next week I will have FO pictures.
